These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Alumni Atlas service operated by AREA 87 LABS L.L.C. ("Area 87," "we," "us," or "our"). Alumni Atlas is a brand of AREA 87 LABS L.L.C. The "Service" includes the Alumni Atlas brand website at https://www.alumniatlas.com, the alumni portal product (Founder Nav) accessible at https://www.founder-nav.com, related applications, and any communications between you and us, including text (SMS) messages.
By creating an account, accessing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, available at https://www.alumniatlas.com/privacy. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Service.
Alumni Atlas is an invitation-only service. Accounts are created through an invitation issued by Area 87 or by an alumni program working with Area 87. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for all activity that occurs under your account, and for maintaining the security of your account credentials and sign-in links. You agree to notify us promptly at hey@area87.io of any unauthorized use of your account.
You agree not to use the Service to: violate any applicable law or regulation; infringe the rights of others; upload or transmit harmful, unlawful, or deceptive content; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; or interfere with the normal operation of the Service. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for conduct that violates these Terms.
This section describes the optional text messaging program offered through the Service (the "Messaging Program"). These SMS terms are part of, and incorporated into, these Terms.
The Messaging Program sends transactional, account-related text messages to Alumni Atlas users who have opted in. Messages may include account notifications and replies to your posts within the Service.
The Messaging Program exists solely to support your use of your Alumni Atlas account. It is not a marketing, advertising, promotional, lead-generation, or affiliate-marketing program, and it is not used to send promotional content from third parties.
You are enrolled in the Messaging Program only if you affirmatively opt in by entering your mobile phone number and selecting the dedicated SMS consent checkbox during account sign-up. That checkbox is not pre-selected. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of creating or using your Alumni Atlas account.
By opting in, you confirm that you are the account holder, subscriber, or customary user of the mobile phone number you provide, and that you are authorized to enroll that number in the Messaging Program. The consent disclosure presented at sign-up reads:
"By checking this box, I consent to receive automated transactional text messages from Alumni Atlas at the mobile phone number I provided above, including account notifications and replies to my posts. Message frequency varies based on account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. View our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy."

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan and carrier. Area 87 does not charge a fee for the Messaging Program, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates will apply to messages you send and receive.
You may opt out of the Messaging Program at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from it. After you send STOP, we will send a single confirmation message acknowledging that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive further text messages from the Messaging Program unless you opt in again.
Opting out of SMS does not close your Alumni Atlas account and does not affect your ability to receive non-SMS communications, such as email.

Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier's network and is not guaranteed. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise transfer your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in, or consent information to any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
We share your mobile phone number only with the service providers that help us operate and deliver the Messaging Program (for example, our SMS delivery provider), and only for the purpose of delivering the messages you have requested. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Messaging Program, in whole or in part, at any time. Material changes to these SMS terms will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
The Service, including its content, design, software, and trademarks, is owned by Area 87 or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership of or right to use our intellectual property except as necessary to use the Service as intended.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Area 87 disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Area 87 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Michigan.
